wk 11 K = kraft/black - Colouring Challenge with Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils

Welcome back to a new challenge!
K = Kraft/Black
Yes, did you know that in the print industry K is the term actually used for Black print ie CMYK is cyan, yellow, magenta, black!
So we thought we'd try and make the challenge a little easier for you...
This challenge can be interpreted as you wish - you can colour ON kraft card, use kraft as a paper etc or colour in black/grey tones, use black papers, ribbon etc, the choice is yours, just do something within the theme - it's entirely up to you and is a nice generic theme to follow
You can enter the challenge with ANY project you like as long as you
coloured it with ANY medium
(pencils, markers, inks, paints, whatever you like).
Remember you can only enter twice!
This week we are very kindly sponsored by the amazing Art of Ching Chou Kuik
So make sure you check out their amazing Store - full of fabulous art for you to colour with any medium!
Prize 1: Ching Chou Kuik have very kindly donated 2 digi images to our winner for this challenge which will be chosen by
Prize 2 Lyra Rembrandt Polycolour pencils  - to win this you need to be in the UK so please add UK next to your name in your entry - if you're in the UK and don't add it after your name we won't count you in the draw and you could miss out.  Again we will choose a winner via

Because of the Christmas break we don't have any winners to announce today but will announce the winners from our Week 1 challenge next time.

So let's get onto the inspiration from the team...

Nikky...This image called HERE WITH ME is completely stunning, I love it! I decided that the image was such a standout piece I didnt really want to overdo it and wanted to just add tone to really emphasise the beauty of the artwork, so I literally just coloured this with a Black pencil. Yes, Black only, then I blended it with the Light Grey - you know that awful really light dirty grey you thought wasnt useful?  I use it all the time for blending where I want to add just a touch of colour, it's great for blending into white. Finally I just used Dark Sepia in some strategic points - hair and skin and just the tiniest flick was all that was needed....
Scatty Jan How much fun did I have colouring up this lovely image from our sponsor this week- She is called Key Of Love and you can find her in the store right here
I used the following colours
Skin 30, 32, 92, 94, 89
Hair 299, 199, 196, 095, 096
Greens 59, 63
Blues 45, 48, 50
Reds 18, 21, 24, 90

Jane – Hello everyone! I decided to decorate a Kraft gift bag and I also coloured on Kraft too and WOW what a gorgeous image I had to work with, she is called SPRING SAKURAI really enjoyed working with this image and my beautiful buttery Lyras just glided over the Kraft card.

Colours used: Skin: 2, 76, 80, 82, 32
Hair: 99, 97, 27, 28, 29
Greens: 65, 67, 68
Flowers: 34

Cara I also used the image Here With Me, she is stunning!! I wanted her skin to look like she was part of the tree so I added more browns to blend her in, With all of the greens and browns I used I decided to add a pop of colour to her hair .. who doesn't love blue hair right???

Colours used:
Skin: Black, Dark Sepia, Van Dyck Brown, Raw Umber, Light Flesh
Night Green, Sea Green, Peacock, Aqua Marine
Olive Green, Cedar Green
